The Loop

Prep, Live, Recap, Reveal.

Four beats, one campaign. Build it before the session, run it at the table, write up what happened, and reveal it to your players when you're ready.

I
Prep

Build the world.

Drop NPCs, Locations, Factions, Items, Quests, and Lore into the codex. Pin what matters to the next session.

II
Live

Run the table.

Start the session and the page narrows to a focused shell — jot a note as you go, @mention any entity, watch the turn tracker, and let players follow along in shared threads. A shared session view, not a virtual tabletop.

Recap

Write what happened.

End Session and the page flips to Recap — your captured notes and pinned entities are right there alongside your GM notes. Polish your record of the session, then reveal it to the table.

IV
Reveal

Share with the table.

Each entity, note, session, and recap has its own visibility — set it to everyone, share with named players, or flip a reveal when the moment hits. The timeline and relationship graph reveal the same way, so players only ever see the canon you've chosen.

Loose Ends

Questions before the dice land.

The things people ask before signing up. Most of these are also answered in the GM Guide — but here, in shorter form.

What does GMhub cost?

Nothing while we're in open beta — every feature is free for everyone, the Foundry bridge included, with no card and no trial clock. Players never pay, ever. Paid GM plans arrive at v1; you'll hear it from us first, and anyone who joined during beta keeps a founding-supporter rate for their first year.

Which game systems does GMhub support?

GMhub is system-agnosticfor prep, codex, and recap — anything you can write in prose, GMhub will hold. The Foundry bridge currently ships with explicit support for D&D 5e ≥ 3.0. Pathfinder 2e and a few PbtA derivatives are next on the bridge's roadmap.

Do my players need accounts?

Only if you want them to see anything. Players join via campaign invite link, see only what you've revealed, and never see the GM's draft pages. A free player tier sits inside every GM seat — they don't pay separately.

What happens if I cancel?

The campaign drops to read-only — your prep, codex, recaps, and notes stay intact. Players retain read-only access to whatever was already revealed. We do not delete data; you can re-up and resume any time. Need a clean copy of your campaign? Email support and we'll send you a JSON export within 48 hours.

Where does my data live?

A Postgres database, hosted in US East (Washington, D.C.). If we ever add AI features, they'll be opt-in per account and won't train third-party models on your campaign. Your prose, your characters, your world: yours alone. We don't share it, sell it, or feed it to anything that learns from it without your explicit say-so.

Is my campaign available anytime?

Yes — GMhub is a hosted web app, available 24/7 from any browser. Both you and your players can prep, play, and recap whenever you have time. No machine to keep running, no shared computer to coordinate around — the campaign is where you left it, on every device you sign in to.
